The Council-funded plant giveaway is part of the community-based ‘Growing a Green Web’ program, which aims to revegetate open spaces in the City of Casey through volunteer involvement.
The program operates with the assistance of schools, environmental friends groups, committees of management, service clubs and community agencies to ensure an additional 20,000 native plants are planted each year in the community, contributing to a much more beautiful Casey.
The plant giveaway will be held at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre near Ted’s Camera Store.
