The roar of motorcycles and a sea of colour and chrome will fill the streets of Cranbourne at the 15th annual MRA Cranbourne GP Run. The City of Casey is proud to host one of the largest and most exciting events in Victoria, as thousands of motorcyclists gather in Cranbourne to travel en-masse to Phillip Island for the 2013 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
One of Australia’s most recognisable and much loved comedians, Mick Molloy, has been announced as the celebrity guest at this year’s 2013 MRA Cranbourne GP Run on Saturday 19 October 2013.
Mick Molloy is an actor, writer and producer with the scruffy appeal of a laid back larrikin, and has become a major drawcard with audiences across television, film and radio.
Currently, Mick co-hosts the channel 10 AFL football comedy program Before The Game and presents the Triple M breakfast show The Hot Breakfast, with Eddie McGuire and Luke Darcy. He also regularly tours his stand up show with fellow comedians Glenn Robbins and Jeff Stilson.
Cancer Research Advocate Bikers has been named as the charity partner for this year’s event. C.R.A.B. was formed in 2004 by Rob Grimstone and friends following the loss of Rob’s mother to cancer. The group came together to discuss ways they could make a difference in the fight against cancer.
A shared interest in motorcycles, lead the group to combine their passion for motorcycling with fundraising, and C.R.A.B. was borne. A social motorcycle club designed for the purpose of raising funds for the National Cancer Research Foundation.
From 8.15 am on the day, there will be plenty of entertainment to keep the whole family enthralled with a variety of children’s activities, food stalls and entertainment. At 10.00 am, the pace picks up for the highlight of the day when the guest celebrity, Mick Molloy will wave-off thousands of gathered motorcyclists on their journey.
