Lyndhurst Shopping Centre

By Eleanor Hopkins

The Casey area is currently going through a major overhaul and a large part of that is what is happening in the prestigious Marriott Waters Estate in Lyndhurst. The estate is being developed by the Villawood Properties group and the centre piece of the development will be the $50 million Marriott Waters Shopping Centre on Thompsons Road.

The shopping centre will consist of 8000sqm of retail space and 2000sqm of office and medical facilities. Major brands that have already committed to the development include Woolworths, Aldi and Dan Murphy’s. The shopping centre will nicely compliment the Marriott Waters Residents Club which will incorporate the sporting activities in the area and the social interaction between neighbours.

The area is also well serviced by easy access to major arterial roads, the Lynbrook and Merinda Park train stations as well as good bus routes. The Lyndhurst Primary School and St Francis De Sales schools provide a variety of schooling options. For those looking for an active outdoors lifestyle the area offers a wonderful combination of walking tracks, playing fields, open spaces and the Banjo Patterson wetlands.
