The Real Estate Institute of Victoria Ltd (REIV) is the Victorian property industries peak body. It represents over 5,000 members – and a commitment to support, represent, and educate those members wherever they are located.

2: Commitment
Our members are committed to meeting Industry Best Practice Standards. Only REIV members are governed by a Member Service Charter, a Code of Conduct, and Rules of Practice. Furthermore, only REIV members must undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training to maintain their membership. This includes compulsory training in Ethics (which must be undertaken every three years), Risk Management, and Property Documentation. This level of commitment and training means you’re working with someone who has met the highest industry standards at the REIV Centre of Excellence for real estate training.
3: Knowledge
Our members tap into the latest Victoria-wide market data every day. There is no better central source of up-to-date real estate market data than the REIV. We are widely recognised as the single best source of comprehensive market data and information in Victoria. Each week, the sales results of REIV member agencies are reported to us. This intelligence is then fed back to the industry practitioners who are able to use it to provide you with effective advice including regular access to property price knowledge, and buying and selling trends.
4: Coverage
Our members are kept informed daily on the latest industry news and views. It is often difficult to stay abreast of trends and changes in the real estate industry. Only REIV members are advised about the latest real estate practice and industry issues on a daily basis. They receive this valuable information daily in a variety of forms including e-newsletter updates, media and advertising support bulletins, and representation and advice on how to improve and manage a business. Our Members are Accredited Specialists and also covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance. All REIV members are required to hold professional indemnity insurance an important safeguard providing you with a sense of security in the knowledge you are working with a well-supported professional. Furthermore, only REIV members can be designated as Accredited Specialists in residential property management, valuation, body corporate management, auctioneering and business broking. These two factors offer a further level of confidence in the practitioner you are dealing with.
