Local Market Update

By Eleanor Hopkins

February is awards month at Ray White and the team at Ray White Cranbourne have outdone themselves again this year. The team was awarded the 4th placed office in the Victorian / Tasmanian network of close to 90 offices. The office was also recognized as the 2nd placed office for the number of sales in the year. A large number of individuals were also recognized for their contributions throughout the year with Paul Ringeri and the whole Ringeri team collecting a number of awards. They won the most sales conducted for the year for the whole network of offices, and were recognised as 9th overall within the whole Vic/Tas area amongst 600 agents. Paul was also awarded the prestigious Platinum Award, which recognizes the salesperson who has provided the best level of service, and all round service beyond the call, as well as consistency throughout the year.

Other finalists were Thomas Aloysius and Malcolm Whiston for the sales rising star award, Maree Gladstone for property manager of the year and Kim Drew for the rising star of property management. The rental team was also acknowledged for their hard work being a finalist in the property management division. The always consistent Josh Bartlett also took out the award for Number 1 Finance broker, a great effort by Josh who continues to maintain an excellent record within the group.

Overall it was a great reflection of the hard work and great consistency of the team over the whole 12 months

The month of February in sales was a little quieter than the same period last year but still showed that there were plenty of buyers in the marketplace. The main difference was that they were doing more
homework, checking out more properties but not necessarily making a move on a property. Many buyers are prepared and fully resourced but haven’t found the right property yet. Our stock levels are lower than usual and this is a reflection of the whole marketplace. The stand out performer for the sale department for the month of February was Kate Rushton.

The rental department enjoyed a more consistent and busy month with plenty of letting activity again. We managed to let more than a property per day and also welcomed a good number of new landlords to our company. Demand for newer properties is still high and four bedrooms homes are still creating high demand and plenty of applications. As always anything that is within walking distance to the shops is also in high demand.
