The annual Ray White Cranbourne retreat has been completed for 2014 with this year’s theme being “A celebration of 10 years”. The beautiful Yarra Valley turned on perfect weather for a combination of indoor & outdoor activities and celebrations.
The team assembled early on Sunday morning to board the bus and head to our first stop which was Hedgend Maze in Healesville. It was here that we were decked out in our combat fatigues and laser skirmish gear for a few hours of running battles in the bush. It was very interesting to watch those that had a strong desire to win, get down and dirty for their team and to see team members step up and take charge when it counted.
The team then ventured to the RACV club in Healesville for some team bonding and communication activities. The afternoon was spent building & racing paper planes, assembling LEGO machines, walking an obstacle course blind folded, completing a jigsaw and numerous other games in the pursuit of learning better communication and trust as well as teamwork.
The evening activities consisted of a dinner and celebration of our ten years of results and achievements as well as announcing the winners of our annual awards. This year’s results were outstanding and saw some new names and faces appearing (see related article). The night also featured a video presentation from a number of people that have watched the business grow through the years providing an outsiders view and perception. The night was filled with great stories and memories throughout the ten years and many laughs and fond recollections. There was also a special presentation to Kate Rushton for her ten years of valuable service to the company.
Day two of the retreat was a little more leisurely with a number of activities to choose from during the morning. Many of the team took the opportunity for a game of golf at the RACV club while others visited the Healesville Sanctuary and some utilized the gym and pool facilitates at the club.
The final activity of the retreat was a lunch at the Moet Chandon winery on the way home. The day was beautiful and the views over winery were spectacular as we relaxed and ate a delicious lunch.
It was a great way to celebrate the achievements of our fantastic team and appreciate where we have come from and all that we have done. The next exciting chapter of the Ray White Cranbourne story is already being planned and we look forward to many more celebrations. A special thanks to Jodie Hanssen for planning and organizing this amazing experience.
